Emily and Will are having a baby! Their little boy is due so soon, and I know that he will be a special guy, just like his parents! I've known Will since elementary school and met Emily in high school. These two are high school sweethearts, and have been together longer than I'll share. :) I am so honored to be able to capture this special time in their life, and it's amazing to see how far we've all gone in life.
Outside of getting to see friends for the first time in a while (thanks COVID), I think my favorite part was getting to see their nursery. They have done such a wonderful job making it such a special place for their little guy. They still had a few final touches to add (including a sign with the baby's name, which they weren't sharing just yet!), and it was absolutely adorable! I can't wait to see it when the baby is born with all of the final details in place. I am so happy we got to share this with them!
It was a real pleasure spending time with Emily and Will, and we can't wait to meet their sweet baby boy soon! :)
At Rau Garden, they had these beautiful yellow flowers in bloom. The whole place just seemed perfect for a maternity session!
Emily and Will are so adorable! I love how in love they are. It's an incredibly special time in their life, and we couldn't be happier as they grow their family!

Emily had an easier time getting down and up from the ground than I did! I'm so glad that we could do these, because I love how they turned out. Their smiles are contagious!

I really wanted to show the expanse of the park and all of the flowers, which made such a beautiful backdrop. There's something about maternity pictures in nature with all of the pretty plants that just feels right.

The pictures in the baby's nursery were so sweet, and I loved all of the little details they put into the room. Notice the blanket draped over the crib? Emily made that. This room was just amazing. Oh, and you may have noticed Emily's necklace and her shoes at the park had stars on them! I love that the space theme carried throughout the entire session! :)
I can tell that their puppy (okay, dog), Shadow, is going to be a great protector for their little boy. Shadow was in the room the whole time we were there. It was so sweet!
I had to include pictures from this little joke between Emily and Will, too, practicing putting a diaper on this little stuffed friend. I know they'll appreciate it! :)
