Alicia and Zac | Maternity

Alicia and Zac surprised us earlier this year with the announcement that Alicia is pregnant and they are having a sweet little girl! Little Olivia Mae is due in January and we could not be happier for them! They will be such wonderful parents, and we cannot wait for them to meet their little girl! Alicia and Zac are expecting their first baby within the next month, and little Olivia will have to compete with mom's love of music and dad's love of hunting. She's going to have so many wonderful experiences! Don't they look so happy! I can't imagine being this happy at eight months pregnant, but Alicia was in such great spirits! She was even able to sit down and get up from the ground for these

Tyra Riley | Class of 2018

Tyra Riley is one of the sweetest seniors we've had the pleasure to work with. And super polite! I don't think I've ever been called ma'am so much! We got to spend an afternoon with her and her mom, Sheila, during an uncharacteristically warm December afternoon, which made for a perfect day for pictures. Tyra arrived in this stunning gold shirt and her white lab coat, which she earned after taking three years of medical intervention classes. She is involved in the PLTW (Project Lead the Way) biomedical track, with aspirations of being an anesthesiologist. In addition to her medical professional goals, Tyra is also a member of the Caring for Others club at Pattonville High School. I thoroughl

Schultz Christmas Party | 2017

It was such an honor to be invited back to the Schultz Cocktail Party this year! Each year, Rich and Joan throw an amazing holiday party for family and friends. It is always an affair to remember, and I think having photographers (Jared and I!) there, makes it that much more glamorous, and a great way to commemorate the event and those who could attend. I was sorry to hear, though, that this was most likely their last party (they are now only spending summers in St. Louis), but I am so excited for Rich and Joan and wish them the best! The evening was a blast, and everyone warmed up to use pretty well! For the most part, at least! Here are some of our favorites from the evening! Our wonderful

Kaci and Jeremy | Candler Wedding

Jeremy and Kaci are two of the kindest, sweetest, most welcoming people you will ever meet. They both have such big hearts! We only got to meet them once before their big day, since they live in Illinois, but when we saw them on their wedding day, it was like we were their best friends, too. Everyone was so welcoming! When we meet them, we started noticing a lot of shared interests, too, from a favorite restaurant (Noodles baby!), to taste in movies (Marvel all the way!) to dream vacation destinations (all of Europe!). I wish they lived in St. Louis (or at least a little closer) because I want to be their best friends! :) Everything about their wedding was just beautiful. All of the wonderfu

Joseph Kasprzyk | Class of 2018

Joseph is a senior at Pattonville High School and has been having a great year! He is a true swimmer: Joseph made it to state in swimming and is now working on his try out for the water polo team. He is also a great chess player. Joseph is interested in going into a CAD (computer-aided drawing) career related to engineering. I've known his mom for a few years, so it was great getting to spend time with Joseph. During our session, we also photographed Joseph and his family. To see pictures from their session, check here. See more from Joseph's session below. It was Joseph's idea to climb the tree with his family, so we of course had to him in the tree by himself! Even though he didn't do any

Kasprzyk Family | Fall Pictures

Christy is one of my favorite people ever! So when she asked me about doing her son's senior pictures, and a few pictures of her family, I was so excited! I've meet her family a few times over the years (usually at Wizard Con!), but it was great getting to actually spend some time with them and get to know them all better. The Kasprzyk's and the Gordons have a lot of shared interested, so getting together with them with the perfect opportunity to talk all things sci-fi, including "Stranger Things," the new Star Wars movie, our excitement over the guests at this year's upcoming Wizard Con and everything in between! We also, of course, did take some pictures. :) Here are some of my favorites o

Whitehead Family | Fall Minis

It was so exciting to see Melissa again at the Fort Howell craft fair in November! We photographed Spencer, Melissa and Hudson for the first time last year and was happy we could do pictures with her family on another day later in the fall. There were two big changes between our mini session with them last year and our session this year. First, I was excited to find out that Melissa is pregnant! She's having a little girl who is due in January, which is so exciting! She said that Hudson is ready to be a big brother and is pretty excited about it. I imaging he'll be a great brother! The second difference from last year was Hudson himself. Last year he was a little shy around me, and it took

Michael Schell | Class of 2018

Meet Michael! He's a senior at Fort Zumwalt South. It was exciting to talk to him about journalism, since he works on the school newspaper. He said he enjoys features and writing about entertainment. Michael is hoping to go to Mizzou and he's interested in a career in writing, possibly comics. We also share a love of entertainment, especially the Marvel movies. It was a beautiful afternoon and a great time spent with Michael and his mom! I really like this picture of Michael! He's got a fun, almost laughing smile! Michael was determined not to give us a "real" toothy smile, but every once in a while, he let one slip, and I just love it! He just looks so happy! I think this is one of my favor
